Description
The MOUNTAIN HIGH EDS kit is a Jonker Sailplanes factory approved O2 system for use in:
- JS1 (from serial nr. 016 and up)
- JS2 (all serials)
- JS3 (all serials)
- JS5 (all serials)
The Mountain High comparable aluminium 1.5 liter oxygen cylinder will fit in the standard oxygen storage tube of the JS1, JS2, JS3 and JS5. Text in JS3 MM: “The tube is removable and is designed to accommodate the Mountain High CFF-480 bottle. The oxygen tube is also able to accommodate slightly smaller bottles such as the Mountain High AL-248 by applying three felt liner strips to the interior wall of the tube and a semi-rigid foam spacer block to the bottom end of the tube such that the bracket (latch) functions properly.”

Al-Can 1.5 L aluminum oxygen cylinder

THE LENGTH IS MEASURED WITHOUT THE OPENING VALVE (8,5 cm)
The Al-Can O2 cylinders have a thicker cylinder wall than the Mountain High aluminium cylinders and can be filled up to the standard European filling pressure of 3000 psi / 200 bar, in stead of 2015 psi / 135 bar for the Mountain High aluminium cylinders.
They have an inspection interval 10 years compared to 5 years for the Mountain High cylinders.
